Apple Cider Moscow Mule Recipe
Moscow Mules are so simple to make at home once you know all you need is your favorite vodka and some ginger beer. This is the season of apples, so making an Apple Cider Moscow Mule just seemed so appropriate. Learn how to make the best Apple Cider Moscow Mule cocktail!
My husband loves mixed cocktails and one of his absolute favorites is the Moscow Mule. A few years ago, we were vacationing with my brother and his family and they introduced him to this drink, which has become one his his all-time favorites.
I have mastered the art of making the infamous Moscow Mule, but not drinking it. Everyone know I don’t drink, right? Alcohol is just “yuck” to me for some reason. I’ll stick with my Cherry Cola all day long, and continue to sit at the kid’s table. ☺
But anyway, whenever I make one for my husband I usually try to twist it up a bit. Depending on what I have in the fridge, I might muddle some blueberries for him or smash some blackberries and pop those in his copper cup. He always loves the added fruit in whatever Moscow Mule I decide to make for him on the weekends. Another one of his favorite during the fall months is the Cranberry Moscow Mule.
We recently went to the apple orchard, like we do every year, to select our autumn apples and since we have an abundance, I thought I would make him a Moscow Mule with fresh picked Honey Crisp Apples. We also had some Apple Cider we picked up at the apple orchard, so I put a dash of that in this cup as well.
The Apple Cider Moscow Mule was introduced for fall and my husband loved it and requested another! I take that as it was delicious and you must try one soon. (Not me, but you, since I don’t drink). The funny thing is I made this Apple Cider Moscow Mule Recipe with non-alcoholic ginger beer and my husband didn’t even really notice — I told him after he drank his cup empty and then (naturally) he stated it tasted a bit different.
So, if you make an Apple Cider Moscow Mule, it absolutely can be made with non-alcoholic ginger beer. But, my husband said the Apple Cider Moscow Mule did taste much better with fully loaded alcohol ginger beer Now I just need to sneak some alcohol free vodka in there next!
