This year is the third year my girls have been taking violin lessons and they have both just taken off. My oldest daughter takes private lessons and is in her school praise band and in a youth orchestra and a chamber orchestra. She is busy, to say the least. My younger daughter takes private lessons and is in a chamber orchestra. While she is only 7 years old, she has come very far in the past three years.

Read MoreEvery Monday morning, I wake up at way-too-early-o'clock in the morning to take my two oldest children to consortium. I then come home and have school with my little one in the morning and then we two gals spend the rest of the day together--her choice.
It's her favorite day of the week. She asks me every Sunday evening . . ."do we get to spend the whole day together tomorrow" no less than 12 thousand times. She looks forward to this time so much, I never want to disappoint her so I try to keep laundry and cleaning to a minimum on Mondays. Although it really would be an ideal time for me to catch up on my household duties, considering my house is basically empty and that never happens.
