Elf on the Shelf will be returning
Elf on the Shelf is a fun-filled Christmas Tradition for children everywhere. Children welcome one of Santa’s Elves in their home during each each holiday season.
Elf on the Shelf will soon be back!! My girls have already put together a little gift basket for their elf and are so excited for his return. The past few years, my son has been the one to name our elf and this year, the girls let him know they have selected a name and that is one they are sticking with!
Elf on the Shelf ideas are always so much fun to come up with. I will once again be posting all the shenanigans of our elf on my blog. I'm so excited to be posting this series again this year.
Here is a peek at some of Elf on the Shelf Antics from last year.
What is Elf on the Shelf?
The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition is a 2005 children’s picture book, written and self-published by American author Carol Aebersold and daughter Chanda Bell and illustrated by Coë Steinwart, featuring a Christmas-themed tale, written in rhyme, that explains how Santa knows who is naughty and who is nice.
In accordance with the traditional story, The Elf on the Shelf usually begins at Thanksgiving and continues until Christmas Eve when the elves return to the North Pole until the next holiday season. The Elf on the Shelf comes in a keepsake box that features a hardbound picture book and a small soft toy in form of a pixie scout elf.
