Watch your favorite television shows on Netflix! Every morning my girls get up and they look at me with big sleepy face eyes and ask ?  "Can we Netflix?" Without fail. They love to scan through and catch up on all their favorite animal shows. In fact, right now, they are watching The House of Magic. The film tells the story of Thunder, an abandoned young cat who stumbles into a magical old mansion operated by a dazzling array of automatons and gizmos.

Like most movies and television shows with animals, there is an underlying theme in place. Thunder in the House of Magic is an animated family adventure, bringing to life a unique story with a great sense of humor, positive values and will appeal to the entire families, but especially your children. Aside from the cute factor, all these lovely animal movies and shows make loyal companions to your children and can deliver important lessons on courage, protection and love.

Netflix has a plethora of animal-inspired titles to stream. This includes the world's greatest feline fighter, whose swashbuckling adventure-comedy series, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, comes to Netflix on Jan. 16 (THIS FRIDAY).

I took my daughters to see Annie at the movies last week and they both replied, "I didn't like it as much as I thought I would". So I said, 'oh you must watch the original on Netflix'. So we streamed Annie and her loveable dog, Sandy . . . and they've been singing songs every since!

Here are some of our other favorite animal series and movies that we stream in our home.

You really can't go wrong with any movie or television show that features an animal. They are always so engaging and delightful. But mainly, there is always an encouraging message that prompted discussion afterwards. My girls are always asking me after a favorite animal flick . . . can we have a pet like such and such. 

If I said yes to every request . . . I'd be living in a zoo now!
