London & Paris in HDR

I've just discovered a new photo editing software that is so much fun. HDR Photography! It’s a new a fun way to take photos and capture the world around you.

What is HDR Photography? HDR is short for High Dynamic Range. It is a post-processing undertaking of taking either one image or a series of images, combining them, and adjusting the contrast ratios to do things that are impossible with a single aperture and shutter speed.

While on vacation I was pushing myself to only shoot in manual mode. Therefore, I have numerous photos of the exact same shot in various exposures as I tried to capture the perfect shot{s}. I do have a much easier time shooting in manual mode outdoors than  I do indoors {is this common with everyone?}

I simply took the same photo I shot using 2 or three different exposures and loaded them into an HDR software that I have {I am using Photomatrix} that simply combines all two to three photos to bring details to the shadows and highlights both.

I love this new software for my vacation shots and I can't wait to really get in deep with this software. These shots just really make a much more lasting impression I think. Here are a couple more of my vacation shots from London and Paris using HDR software.
