Summer Berry Crumble
I baked this summer crumble instead of picking up the shredded cheese that was all over the floor from making homemade pizzzas with the children, it is a big spoonful of yummy!
UPDATE: **Summer Crumble**
small container raspberries
small container blackberries
small container of blueberries (but really your could use any berries or fruit you like)
1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cutup
1 cup self rising flour (sifted)
2 tablespoons ground almonds
1/4 cup granulated sugar
scant 1/4 cup slivered almonds
Preheat oven to 400
Put the berries in your baking dish, cover with 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 tablesppon of sugar, mix gently. Rub the butter into the flour and ground almonds, until like rough sand (this is great for the kiddies to do), stir in the sugar and sprinkle over the berries to cover them evenly. You can add the slivered almonds to the mixture or on top. I also add a small scoop of sugar and brown sugar on the top. Bake inthe oven for 30 minutes, the cruble will have browned a bit and the berries should be bubbling. Serve with creme fraiche, whipped cream, ice cream or I love it with whipping cream!
