Daily small actions, make for big successes . . .

I noticed the other day that my daffodils, tulips and hyacinths flowers are trying very hard to pop through the just barely unfrozen ground here . . . each year they come up in the very early spring when the air is crisp and the fog is still heavy in the air.

I always wonder how these beautiful flowers make their way into the frigid air . . . how they survive the cold dreary nights . . . how they still bring a smile to may face after all these years . . . flowers don't really worry about the cold air . . . they don't try to stay hidden in the near frozen ground waiting for the sun to shine . . .

. . . the daffodils don't wait to see if the hyacinths are up yet . . . and the tulip wait for no daffodil . . . they all simply pop up . . . and bloom . . .

. . . these daily small actions, make for big successes . . . gorgeous blooms that make me smile . . . that make me take a moment and pause . . .

. . . to not feel so discouraged

. . . to not be filled with self-doubt

. . . to not feel good enough

. . . each of the flowers that bloom in my yard are unique and a gift to me . . .

Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these . . . Matthew 6:25-34

. . . I took a moment and paused. . . and thought about just blooming.
