Serendipity Style Frozen Hot Chocolate {Recipe}
How to Make the outrageously, divine, frozen hot chocolate, Serendipity Style, at home. Homemade Frozen Hot Chocolate is so rich you will never be able to finish one stunning little cup.
I happen to be quite fond of chocolate. But not just your everyday chocolate bar. No, that will not do for me. When I was growing up, my grandmother used to have chocolate bars imported from her home country of Germany for me. This created a deep adoration of fine chocolate for me. This love of delicious-ness carried through to my adult years.
I have decided after this Halloween that my children need to stop eating everyday chocolates and kick it up a notch and delve into the world of finer chocolates! I told the little poppets I was going to make them the most outrageously, divine, frozen hot chocolate they had ever tasted in their lives. This was surely going to change their little taste buds to become connoisseurs of fine chocolates.
Serendipity Style Frozen Hot Chocolate
My outrageously, divine, frozen hot chocolate may be the best in the nation (well, besides Serendiptity 3 in NYC).
Simply collect some ingredients of sugar, butter, hot cocoa instant mix(pick a top line), semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate(again, choose a top brand), evaporated milk and homemade whipped cream (or a dollop out of the can will do as well).
Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate Recipe
Ingredients
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons hot cocoa mix
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup white chocolate chips
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk, divided
2-3 cups ice cubes
whipped cream
Instructions:
Combine sugar, cocoa mix, and butter in top of double boiler that is set over gently boiling water. Stir often until melted and smooth paste forms. Add semi-sweet & white chocolate chips; stir until melted. Once the chips are melted, slowly stir in 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Stir until smooth and velvety. Cool to room temperature.
Combine chocolate base mixture, remaining evaporated milk and ice in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into individual glasses. Top each with whipped cream. Sprinkle with additional chopped chocolate chips, shaved chocolate, mini marshmallows or whatever is your fancy. Serve with a fun straw and spoon.
This outrageously, divine, frozen hot chocolate, Serendipity Style, is so rich you will never be able to finish one stunning little cup. Or . . . maybe you will be able to.
