La La La Lies #StreamTeam
The Rayburns, from the new Netflix original series, Bloodline, have some dark family secrets they’re willing to do anything to keep from coming out -- lying included. While you may not know the Rayburn clan just yet, The Philadelphia Inquirer calls Bloodline “an intricately drawn and superbly cast portrait of a family in crisis.”
Starring Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) and set in the Florida keys, the series follows a family caught between the ugly truth and the terrible lie that covers it up - a storyline that conjured our friends at Variety to predict that, “.. those who give Bloodline a chance will, pretty quickly, find themselves hooked.”
But let’s face it, we all lie. Don't we? Don't we teach our children to NOT lie? Right?!
White lies make life easier for us parents (the roller skating rink is closed today) or make our kids really happy (Santa Claus is totally REAL). Since we home school, my kids learned very early on what fiction and non-fiction is or IS NOT. They truly know the difference between a fact and a lie.
I'm pretty fortunate that my kids don't lie to me . . . and yes, I totally believe that my kids are not lying to me. They will tell some "tales", but they always admit that these are make-believe. I think I'm very lucky that I have honest kids. Although I do have a teenager now, and I am sure the lies are ready to creep into our days.
If you are struggling with how to cope with the lies in your life, be sure to check out Bloodline on Netflix. You'll be enthralled watching the Rayburn family secrets unfold and know your family is okay. With the fabulous Sam Shepard and Sissy Spacek as the powerful parents, how could this show be anything but a hit? Netflix once again rules with this amazing series.
You could simply play all the songs about lies . . . you know like "La La La Lies" by The Who, "Little Lies" by Fleetwood Mac or the more recent "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem and Rihanna and "Lips Are Moving" by Meghan Trainor.
If you want to give your kids some lessons on lying and honesty, be sure to check out these Netflix favorites for some good lessons.
