Frocks in Autumn | eShakti Shift Dress

I think autumn is finally here in Chicago. I was actually able to turn the air conditioner off just this past weekend and my husband is so happy about that one as I think I was freezing him out of the house. But in my defense, I totally have this thing where I can't sleep with the windows open, at all, like, not, one-single-window. So, I have to have the air on in the house because all the windows are closed up tight at night when I go to bed.

Is anyone else like this? It is not an "I'm frightened" issue, but more of an "I-can't-stand-all-the-noise-keeping-me-awake" issue. We live next to a forest preserve and we have a owl who resides in our oak tree and all I hear all night long if I leave the window open is this owl hoo-ing. Also, since we are in such close proximity to the forest, I hear every single animal scuffle out there. And don't even get me started if a skunk happens by our yard! Windows = Closed!

Now, it is cool enough I can sleep peacefully with the windows closed and everyone else isn't sweating to death because I won't let anyone open the windows! It is also cool enough that I was able to wear a lovely frock that I ordered a few weeks ago. It is only just now getting cool enough for me to wear it as summer decided to blast Chicago a bit with a few more hot and steamy days these past couple of weeks.

I spotted the frock on eShakti.com and knew immediately that I had to add this to my autumn wardrobe. This shift dress is mid-length, has an empire waist, a pintuck bib front, and a great light chambray fabric with a contrasting hem and deep scooped pockets. Swoon.

eShakti calls the color chambray and it is very accurate as it is the perfect color for fall and matches the autumn sky. It’s an incredibly flattering dress and would be on all shapes and sizes of women. the dress I selected was originally sleeveless, but we were heading into fall and I knew I needed sleeves. There were four different option, but I ultimately chose the elbow length sleeve and they look fabulous on this shift dress.

I also could have ordered a shorter length, but like the fact that it hits me right at the knees for me. I especially love the pintuck bib front on this frock, it reminds me of the frocks I wore as a child and I always loved the pintuck front so much. My grandmother used to make me these lovely frocks with the pintuck front when I was a little girl and this new frock brought back some wonderful memories.

I followed the size chart as recommended by eShakti. This frock is fairly roomy in both the upper portion and the hip. I like that I am not tightly squeezed in this dress and can sit comfortably all day at work.  My office is chilly at times and this chambray shift dress looks great with a sweater. Truly, a black, navy, red or white sweater would look great with the chambray fabric and color.

I believe every woman should have the opportunity to wear well-crafted dresses, blouses, skirts, pants and all with styles that are classic, elegant and timeless regardless of size. eShakti allows for shopping hundreds of styles, and they offer clothing in standard sizes from 0-36W, but you can change the neckline, sleeve and length to fit your taste and body type.

eShakti invited me to try their customization process, select an item of my choice and share my experience. I am fully disclosing that I was provided a free product of my choice in exchange for my honest review and that all thoughts and opinions are my own.
