So many people of all ages head to Dollywood Theme Park every year. But I wanted to focus on how much fun Dollywood is for tweens and teens. When talking tweens and teens, the ages I think of are between 10 to 12 to 15. My son, who is 13 and my husband just recently visited Dollywood on their week long trip to Tennessee. They were visiting Tennessee and discovering all that it has to offer tweens and teens.
Dollywood Theme Park
Dollywood recently celebrated its 30th anniversary! To celebrate, there are 30 new things in the park and each month there will be something new going on to continue to celebrate the anniversary. My son and husband were able to enjoy Dollywood's Great American Summer celebrations this month. There are six NEW shows.

Pick-Up Patrol Guests this summer shouldn’t worry if they see an old truck slowly navigating its way through the streets of Dollywood…because a homegrown good time is not far behind! While it may be old, its radio definitely has enough energy to get everyone on their feet for a spontaneous shindig complete with music and dancing. Dollywood employees might even take part in the Pick-Up Patrol by breaking in to dance during this spur-of-the-moment party. Park guests will be invited to join the fun through dancing, improvised musical instruments and much more!
When you realize that Dollywood Theme Park is a 150-acre theme park AND water adventure park, Dollywood's Splash Country, as well as entertainment and shopping, it can be daunting for someone who doesn't visit regularly. My family lives in the midwest and we do not get to the southern states often.
Dollywood Theme Park is organized into ten themed areas. The Showstreet, Rivertown Junction, Craftsmen's Valley, Village, Country Fair, Timber Canyon, Jukebox Junction, Owens Farm and Adventures in Imagination.
For those with children in the tween and teen ages there are simply some attraction that you will want to make sure not to miss when visiting. Below are the top attractions you will want to make some time for on your next visit with your tween or teen.

Dollywood's Wings of America Birds of Prey is a show that is not to be missed. There are more than 30 performances daily where you can enjoy country, bluegrass, classic rock 'n' roll and Southern gospel music. Don't forget, Dollywood is celebrating their 30th anniversary and has all the new performances I mentioned above this month.
Throughout the park there are many restaurants that serve an array of delicious Southern cuisine. There is full-service dining, fast food selections and a wide variety of concessions. Living in the midwest, we do not get to sample Southern cuisine often, so my husband was eating his way through Dollywood!
Don't forget about Dollywood's Splash Country! Waterparks are always a huge hit with tweens and teens.
