Color Your World

We may feel "blue" on a dreary Friday morning . . . such as today. We may "see red" when an obnoxious driver in a silver Mercedes tries to play road rage with the silver VW in front of him while a certain momma is driving behind the two silly drivers . . . in said rain. And when we're "in the pink", nothing can stop us.

Some colors can be very depressing and some can be very enlivening, some can stimulate and some add a sense of cheerfulness. We do know that color affects our moods and affects physical aspects as well as emotional aspects of health. (from How to Heal with Color)

What is your color? . . . . while you can really prescribe certain colors to treat illness . . . take two reds and cal me in the morning (wouldn't that be nice) . . . you can use certain colors as a way of calming your body. Different colors promote different responses.

RED is stimulating, energizing and warming . . .
YELLOW stimulates mental activity . . .
BLUE is generally very calming . . .
GREEN is calming and balancing . . .
PURPLE helps eliminate negativity . . .
PINK is a very soothing and healing color . . .
ORANGE stimulates joy and makes people feel more secure . . .
BROWN is good for feeling more practical or grounded . . .
BLACK is a very insulating and protective color . . .

So with my RED hair I tend to choose BLACK clothing a lot and I surround myself with BROWNs and GREENs in my home and my blog is very PINK.
