Birthdays On Demand Celebrations
Did you know the most common birthday months is September? My birthday is in September and so is my daughters. As a child, I didn't have birthday parties hosted for my friends . . . I barely remember anything special about my birthday and that sort of sucked.
So, when I had children, I went all out for birthday celebrations. I planned elaborate parties with specific themed activities, food and cakes. I hosted Science parties, Princess & Pirate parties, Princess parties, Carnival parties and really the list just goes on and on. The last party I hosted was an Owl themed party and then I decided that I was no longer hosting parties at home and the kiddos could select a spot and that is where the party would be. Hello summer birthday celebrations at the pool!
Now, what to do when you have a birthday to celebrate in the most popular birthday month? Turn to Netflix I say! Netflix Birthdays On-Demand gives parents an easier way to make their kids birthdays special.
When it comes to planning my children's birthday parties, the pressure I put on myself to make everything perfect was a bit stressful. Did you know that nearly three-quarters of parents wish there was an easier way to make birthdays feel special for their kids? I think we all feel that way!

Magic School Bus Rides Again
The Magic School Bus Rides Again and was available for streaming on Netflix on Friday, September 29th! Do you remember Ms. Frizzle and The Magic School Bus? After your kids have been inspired by the wonders of science through the show, continue the edutainment adventure with soon to come episode learning packs with summaries each of the episodes, topics to explore and fun science experiments that you can try together.
Have a Fruity Frizzy Lemonade to share and watch The Magic School Bus Rides Again. My girls made a strawberry Simple Syrup to make Strawberry Lemonade. It was delicious! And, believe me, Simple Syrup is super "simple" to make!
Skylanders Unite
Also, Skylanders Unite! The heroic team is back for a second season on Netflix on October 6. The Skylanders are back in action protecting the realm! In the animated series from Activision Blizzard Studios, Skylanders Academy follows the heroic adventures of Spyro, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac, Pop Fizz and their team of young warriors as they travel the vast Skylands universe protecting it from evil-doers. The Skylanders Unite is based on the Skylanders video game. Did you kids ever play these video games? My kids used to be obsessed with Skylanders. we have every single character to play with on the PlayStation.
Call the Midwife
And then there is the return of Midwives! Call the Midwife Series 6 is now on Netflix! One of my all time favorite shows! I love British shows! This period drama set in impoverished East London in the 1950s follows a newly qualified midwife and her colleagues at a nursing convent. I zipped through season 6 in two nights!!
Also popping up on Netflix is Season 2 of Cleverman. With the Zone shattered, Koen faces new conflicts as he uses his Cleverman powers to unite the Hairies and the humans in a lasting peace.
I also watched The Five! Did you stream The Five? This was another great new series that I really enjoyed! Twenty years after 5-year-old Jesse disappears near his home, his DNA turns up at the scene of a woman's murder, baffling his family and the police.
