Advent & Christmas Books

Advent is a season we observe as we wait and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. The term is a version of the Latin word meaning "coming". This year we are observing Advent by reading a book a day. 

Today I spent a good hour wrapping books up . . . new books, old books, forgotten books . . . . not just any old book though . . . holiday related books . . . you know . . . 'tis the season books . . . I scoured all my children's rooms for any book related to Christmas, Baby Jesus, holidays or snow. I ended up running out anyway a couple of days ago to fill in the gaps to complete my stack of 24 books!

Each day during the month of December I will read one of these books to my kids before bed as an addition to the celebration of Advent. We will end with 'Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve.
